The Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has been confirmed as a graduate of the University of Ibadan (UI), by authorities of the institution.

The registrar of the institution, Olubunmi Faluyi, in a statement on Wednesday, June 10, said Obaseki gained admission to the university in 1976 and graduated in 1979, The Nation reported.

Faluyi citing records, stated that the governor graduated with a second class honours (lower division), The Nation reports.

“Records of his admission and graduation are intact in the archives of the university.” the statement said.
