Mr Reuben Richard Gbenga has been identified as the worshipper shot dead by gunmen at ECWA church in Kabba, headquarters of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Recall that the heavily armed men stormed the church in Okedayo along the Kabba- Okene road on Sunday morning while service was ongoing and started shooting sporadically. Read HERE
The assailants killed Gbenga, abducted Elder Abiodun T.O and Elder Oshadumo Julius, the pioneer Provost, College of Education Technical Kabba.
The deceased, it was further learnt, was on his way to the sanctuary when he ran into the gunmen.
Until his death, late Gbenga was the Deputy Chief Security Officer of College of Education Technical Kabba.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP William Ayah, confirmed the incident, adding that those who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
