Paramedics treated the stabbed teenager at the scene in Westbury Road, Walthamstow, London, however he died from his injuries and a police investigation is now underway

A 17-year-old boy has died after being found with stab injury in north east London, police said.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to Westbury Road in Walthamstow at 9.20pm on Friday.

Despite treatment by paramedics at the scene the teenager was pronounced dead.

Police said officers are working to establish the 17-year-old’s identity and inform his next of kin.

A crime scene is in place and an investigation is in progress, but no arrests have been made.

The victim became the thirteenth teenager to be murdered in the capital this year.
