When Is The Best Time To Take Fish Oil

By now, you may be aware of all the health benefits associated to fish oils and omega 3 fats, such as healthy:
Cholesterol levels
Blood pressure
Blood sugar
Inflammation
Brain function
Weight Loss
Energy levels
Pain Relief

… just to name a few.

So now the question is, WHEN is the best time to take fish oil, for maximum benefits, absorbability and to help reduce any potential negative effects?

First, like other fats, fish oil should be taken with food.

I suggest the beginning of a meal if possible, to help reduce any potential indigestion issues some people may get, such as belching

Secondly, I suggest taking it more during the day because it can cause an increase in energy levels for some people. For example with breakfast and/or lunch.

This brings up the third suggestion and that’s to spread the dose up throughout the day. Such as breakfast and lunch. Or even with dinner as well, if you don’t see any sleep disruptions.

So in summary, it’s best to take fish oil
With food, preferably the beginning of a meal
Earlier in the day, due to the potential increase in energy levels
Spread out evenly with meals, if possible.
