Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard couldn’t wait to mock his co-star Kate Garraway live on air on Friday, after noticing something about her appearance in Gardeners’ World.

Kate makes her debut on the BBC gardening show on Friday evening, and is set to open up on how the hobby has helped her during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Her husband Derek Draper has been in hospital ever since he was struck down with Covid-19 in March, with him placed in an induced coma in April.

Kate revealed this week he still wasn’t out of the woods, but was “fighting on”.

Ahead of her Gardeners’ World debut, Ben was quick to point out a detail about her appearance that he found rather amusing.
