Charmaine Hulley left her rescue dog Drax in the care of her partner Taylor, and the animal’s weight gain under his supervision became clear when the pair were reunited a few weeks later

A chunky dog who made the most of pigging out on KFC and steak while his owner was away has been put on a diet after getting stuck in a door and ripping it clean off its hinges.

Owner Charmaine Hulley got Drax two years ago, when she gave the poor pup a home after he was found living on the streets looking frightened and malnourished.

She said when she first bought Drax home he was too scared to look at anyone or eat, but fast forward to now and the problem is long gone, with the dog indulging in his new life of luxury.

He transformed from skin and bones into a healthy figure, but recently Charmaine headed off to live with her mum for a few months for personal reasons.
