The mum of a family killed in a suspected ‘murder suicide’ ran to a friend’s house to raise the alarm after the horrific triple shooting.

It is believed the mother, Ann, did not have a mobile phone so ran to a neighbour at around 6:30am during the dispute between her husband and two sons at the farm in Kanturk, north Cork.

The mum, believed to be in her 60s and battling an ongoing health issue, escaped the rural property and ran ‘some distance’ to get help.

The tragedy eventually claimed the lives of Timothy ‘Tadhg’ O’Sullivan, 59, and his sons Mark, 25, and Diarmuid 23.

The body of one of the son’s was reportedly found in a bedroom inside the house, while the father and other son were found on adjoining land.
