Elon Musk has announced that some X (formerly Twitter) users will get access to X Premium features without having to pay for them. 

In a post on the platform, Musk said that accounts with a large following will receive free access to premium features.

The tweet read, “Going forward, all X accounts with over 2500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free, and accounts with over 5000 will get Premium+ for free.”

X Premium subscription gives account owners access to several features, such as enhanced visibility, upload videos up to 3 hours long, a file size of up to 8GB, reduced ads, access to beta features, and more.

The X Premium+ subscription comes with some additional benefits, such as no ads and reply prioritisation.

This announcement adds to the number of changes Elon Musk has made since he acquired the platform in 2022.
