A female killer who strangled her Plenty of Fish date with a vibrator cord has been jailed.

Jamie Lee Dolheguy wrapped the wire around Maulin Rathod’s neck during a choke play session, she told police officers in a recorded interview played out at the beginning of her murder trial.

Dolheguy, now 21, was however found guilty of manslaughter after luring Maulin to her Melbourne home in July 2018.

In harrowing detail heard in court, Dolheguy told her victim “It’ll be OK, it’ll be over”, as she choked him to death with the cord of a sex toy.

She was jailed for nine years, with Justice Peter Almond saying: “You took the life of a young person who had done nothing to harm or provoke you. He was totally trusting and unsuspecting.”

Dolheguy and Mr Rathod met on dating app Plenty of Fish.
