Throughout almost two decades, Ric has been involved in a number of huge storylines – from his son’s tragic heroin death to grappling with his cancer diagnosis.

This evening’s episode saw Ric, played by High Quashie, finally wake up from his coma after recovering from brain surgery.

After the show’s break, Ric had woken to the hospital struggling in the midst of the pandemic before falling ill with the virus himself.

Max had been making a speech to hospital staff, alluding to Ric, but fans of the show didn’t discover whether Ric had survived until seeing him leave the hospital.
