After Hushpuppi’s arrest, companies in Dubai have started excluding Nigerian applicants from job vacancies

  • Apart from being blacklisted from applying for jobs in Dubai, Nigerians have also been barred from applying for tourist visa
  • Recall that Huspuppi was arrested by Dubai police and extradited to the United States over fraud allegations

Companies in Dubai have started excluding Nigerian applicants from vacancies after Ramon Olorunwa Abass popularly known as Hushpuppi was arrested in the United Arab Emirates.

Recall that Hushpuppi and other Nigerians were arrested for fraud in Dubai and extradited to the United States.

Apart from blacklisting Nigerians from applying for jobs in Dubai, the latter is also denying Nigerians tourist visa.

The letter read in part: “Dear Applicant, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, your visa application has been rejected as Nigerian passport holders are not permitted to obtain a tourism visa to the UAE in the meantime.

“However, this may change at anytime as the permitted nationalities are updated frequently

In other news, the past few weeks have been filled with horror for flamboyant Nigerian man Ramon Olorunwa Abass popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi following his arrest by the Dubai Police and extradition to the United States.

Hushpuppi is currently being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre (MCC) in Chicago and out of curiosity many are wondering what the holding facility looks like. According to the description on the official website of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the correctional facility was established in 1930 for the purpose of providing progressive and humane care for federal inmates.

The MCC has a mix of male and female offenders with the total number of inmates currently at 567.
