Jonathan Rhys Meyers was reportedly arrested in Malibu, California for crashing a car while driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to TMZ, the 43-year-old actor was involved in a minor car accident on Sunday when police noticed that he was showing signs of being intoxicated.null

The Tudors star was said to be over the legal limit and police officers took the star into custody for a misdemeanor DUI.

A representative for Jonathan has been contacted by MirrorOnline, while LAPD declined to comment.

Jonathan has struggled with his alcohol consumption for some years and is reported to have headed to rehab at least six times in the last 15 years.

Despite trying to curb his alcohol abuse, the actor has reportedly relapsed several times.
