A pub owner replied to an angry one-star review left on TripAdvisor by taking apart the complaint word-by-word.

A woman who visited the Jamaica Inn in Cornwall with her partner and parents left a comprehensive write up of their experience on the website, slamming the slow service and claiming the group had been left waiting 50 minutes for two coffees.

But the owner of the pub, Allen Jackson, responded to refute the accusations – and even challenged her to give details of the time and date they visited so he could bring out the CCTV footage, as reported by Cornwall Live.

The TripAdvisor review began: “I came here last weekend because I wanted to take my partner who has never been before. I can safely say we won’t be coming back.”

The reviewer said she recommended others not to visit the pub
